Still in the Changi Airport now, but will get on the flight to Colobo soon.I’ve just seen around the airport without stepping outside of it. The only smoking area I could find is in the Sunflower Garden, it locates on the balcony of the 3rd floor somewhere in the airport. There’re lots of sunflowers, that’s how it got the name. The funny thing is, even inside that area which smoking is allowed, there’s a board which says “no smoking within the yellow line”.
I can see Arabs, Malay, Japanese, Koreans, Filipinos, Chinese from Taiwan and mainland China, and I think some from eastern Europe and other parts of the world, too.
There’re some young volunteers in the airport, with the words “Chiangi Youth” on the back of their red uniforms. Very supportive and friendly.
I feel that most of the local Chinese could speak mandarin, as I ‘ve heard some of them speaking. But I still chose to speak in English to ask for help when I need.
The only conversation I made with the whites are with an old New Zealander who asked the time from me inside the Sunflower Garden.
Got to go now. Keep on blogging!
